To use QuranBot you must:
Be a registered user on Discord and comply with Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
Have the necessary permissions to invite and configure bots in your Discord server
Be at least 13 years old, strictly adhering to COPPA regulations and regional data
protection laws
Use the bot primarily for religious, educational, or spiritual purposes consistent with these terms
Accept full responsibility for all actions taken through your Discord account while using the bot
We rely on Discord's built-in
age verification system and do not independently verify user ages. We do not knowingly collect data from users under

2. Required Permissions and Setup
Setting up QuranBot requires granting specific Discord permissions. You must have
Administrator permissions or equivalent privileges to execute the /إعداد command:
Manage Channels: Required to create the Quran category and associated voice/text/azkar channels
Manage Roles: Required to configure permission overwrites for bot channels
View Channel: Required for the bot to access configured channels
Connect and Speak: Required for voice channel functionality and Quran/radio playback
Send Messages and Read Message History: Required for control panel and azkar features
Use Application Commands: Required for slash command functionality
Important: The bot will request these permissions during the /إعداد command. You may revoke
permissions at any time, but doing so may disable bot functionality immediately .
3. Acceptable Use Policy
QuranBot is primarily intended for religious, educational, and spiritual purposes
including listening to Quran recitations, radio streams, and azkar reminders.
The following uses are strictly prohibited:
Publishing inappropriate, offensive, harassing, or discriminatory content through bot features
Misusing bot functions to spam, disrupt services, or interfere with other users experience
Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary code from the bot beyond what is permitted by its
open-source license
Violating copyright or intellectual property rights of audio content sourced from mp3quran.net or other providers
Using the bot for commercial purposes without explicit written permission from the developer
Any activity that violates applicable laws in your jurisdiction or Discord Terms of Service
Impersonating the bot developer or support team to deceive other users
Exploiting bot vulnerabilities or attempting unauthorized access to bot infrastructure
We actively monitor and prevent abuse, spam, and excessive usage through automated safeguards, rate limiting, and
interaction cooldowns
4. Intellectual Property and Content Attribution
All religious content provided via
QuranBot belongs to their original sources:
Quran recitations are sourced from
mp3quran.net and used with permission under their terms
Reciter metadata, photos, and audio links remain the property of their respective owners
Prayer time data is retrieved from
aladhan.com API and subject to their usage terms
Azkar content is compiled from publicly available Islamic resources with proper attribution via
hub-mgv.github.io/QuranBotData
QuranBot software code, UI designs, and proprietary features are protected by
copyright. QuranBot is open-source under the MIT License.
The bot serves as a medium to access this content and does not claim ownership of source materials
Users are responsible for ensuring their use of sourced content complies with original providers terms
5. Service Availability and Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue bot functions at any time:
Services may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or technical issues
Feature availability may vary based on server configuration, permissions, or regional restrictions
We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services integrated with the bot
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for service interruptions caused by factors beyond our
reasonable control
Users will be notified of planned maintenance through the bot status or support channels when possible
Deprecated features may be removed with reasonable notice via bot announcements or documentation updates
6. Enhanced Disclaimer of Warranties
QuranBot is provided on an "as is" and
"as available" basis without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by applicable

No guarantee of uninterrupted service, error-free execution, or completely secure environment
Not responsible for Discord outages, API failures, or third-party infrastructure degradation
Audio playback quality depends on network conditions, Discord infrastructure, and source availability
Automated features like azkar timers operate on best-effort basis and may experience delays
Use at your own risk; we explicitly disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability and
fitness for a particular purpose to the extent permitted by applicable law
No advice or information obtained through the bot creates any warranty not expressly stated herein
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
We are not responsible for data loss, service interruption, or configuration issues resulting from bot use
Our total liability for any claim related to the bot shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the bot (if any)
These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, or otherwise) underlying the claim
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability; in such cases, our
liability shall be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law
8. Termination and Account Actions
Either party may terminate the service relationship under the following conditions:
You may remove QuranBot from your Discord server at any time to immediately
terminate service for that guild
We may suspend or ban access to the bot for violations of these terms or Discord policies
Upon termination, guild-specific data will be retained for
30 days before automatic deletion unless otherwise requested
Termination does not affect rights or obligations that accrued prior to the effective date of termination
9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of
Egypt and applicable international internet service regulations.
Any disputes shall first be addressed through the in-bot complaint system or support channels
If unresolved, disputes may be subject to the jurisdiction of courts of the Arab Republic of
Egypt
Users agree to participate in good faith efforts to resolve issues before pursuing formal legal action
Users agree that any legal claims must be brought individually and not as part of a group or collective action.
This bot complies with Discord Developer Terms and
Policies.
Severability: If any
provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
10. Changes to Terms
Terms of Service may be updated periodically to reflect bot improvements or legal requirements:
Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised Last Updated date
Material changes will be communicated via the bot support channel or in-bot announcements when feasible
Your continued use of QuranBot after terms updates constitutes acceptance of the
revised terms
If you do not agree to updated terms, you must cease using the bot and remove it from your servers
Previous versions of these terms may be requested via email or the in-bot complaint system for reference
11. Admin Panel & Developer Access
QuranBot provides a restricted administrative interface for authorized developers only.
Access is controlled via the SPE_USER_ID environment variable with mandatory server-side
verification.
Purpose & Scope: Administrative actions are performed strictly for maintenance, abuse prevention,
or user-requested support. No administrative access is granted for surveillance or unauthorized data collection.
Capabilities: Authorized developers may view aggregated statistics, manage bot deployment across
servers, respond to support requests, and remove the bot from guilds when necessary for service integrity or policy
compliance
Privacy Boundaries: Admin access does not permit viewing private messages, voice content, or
personal data beyond Discord-provided metadata
Accountability: All administrative actions are logged for audit purposes and retained for 180 days
Administrative capabilities are strictly bound to operational necessity and Discord Developer Policy compliance.
Administrative access is strictly limited to authorized developers and cannot be accessed by server owners or third
parties.
